Are you willing to say no?
If you listened to the last episode, you know that I recently attended a retreat in Costa Rica that was all about tantra, connection, and for me was about understanding myself deeper and ultimately healing some of the sexual wounding that I still feel has played a part in my ability to really open up and authentically relate in new romantic situations. If you’ve been following my content for a while, you know that sexuality and healing is a big topic for me and I continue to challenge myself to step outside of my comfort zone so that I can dig deeper into my own shadow and wounding so that I can continue to level up and discover new levels of what I consider showing up in my highest. That means that sometimes, in fact quite often, I will put myself in situations and scenarios that are meant to make me feel uncomfortable, and learn from the process of moving through that discomfort to understand myself in deeper ways.
It’s not easy work by any means, and this experience at a very sexually charged tantra retreat was no walk in the park. Last week in Part 1 I shared some of my intentions, thoughts, and fears as I prepared myself for a week-long experience of pushing my boundaries. This week, I want to share some of my takeaways and reflections on the experience itself. I can tell you this; it was an opening, healing, difficult, and ultimately fun experience that allowed me to explore my own boundaries and ultimately really feel into what felt true for me, and when to really understand my own sacred no.
